Yesterday I shared two testimonies with you guys about how God has me covered. As I mentioned it was the first of a two part series showing how God has worked in my life to preserve my life. Today was a rough day for me. I was in a lot of pain and the Lord just reminded me that I still had a lot to give Him thanks for even though things didn’t go my way.
LAST WEEK MONDAY MORNING
I left early for work that morning. In fact, I was very determined to be early for work. During the ride into town, I started to feel really nauseous. I questioned the Lord as to what was the issue because I knew I had had been fine just moments ago. The only thought that came to me after my query was that I should walk a bit slowly instead of my normally rapid pace. Even though I knew slowing down would make me late for work, I decided to obey the thought.
I got off the taxi, dug my nails into my palms to distract my brain and started walking my 15-minutes journey to work. I was about 6 minutes away from work when I heard the sound of skidding wheels and then a huge bang. It happened about 2 minutes away from where I was. At first, I wasn’t concerned because it sounded like the car driver had caught control of the vehicle and avoided a crash.
However, when I got to a corner I took every single morning to get to work, THE CAR HAD CRASHED RIGHT AT THE CORNER! Can you imagine if I hadn’t been sick or followed the direction given, what might have happened? When I reached the crash site, I had to turn and shimmy in the corner in order to continue on my way to work….
LAST WEEK WEDNESDAY MORNING
The Wednesday morning, in my haste to get to work, I ran out without breakfast. By 9:30, I was ravenous and decided to run over to the lunch room to by a patty.
On my way, I stopped at a green light on a corner. The light changed to amber and since I saw no vehicles approaching I ventured from the sidewalk. It was then I noticed a motorbike racing around the corner. I stepped back and the bike still continued to head directly to where I was standing. I quickly stepped forward into the road. I was so frightened!
The motorcyclist shouted at me that he had made a wide turn in order to avoid me when I stepped down the first time. To tell you the truth, it must have been God because I am terrified of bikes and normally would be petrified if I saw one approaching.
Once I was told that everything happens in our lives for a reason. Over these last few weeks, as I witnessed the way God directed and cleared my path, I am more inclined to believe this statement. You ran late because He was protecting you! You got sick in order for Him to work! You got broken-hearted because you needed to listen. HE HAS ME COVERED! HE HAS YOU COVERED! HE HIDES US ALL UNDER HIS WINGS!
NO WEAPON THAT IS FORMED AGAINST YOU CAN PROSPER WITHOUT THE SANCTION OF GOD. HE HAS YOU COVERED!
